Scotch Valley

Built in 1968, our course incorporates a traditional European design, featuring large landing areas leading to ample greens that are protected by bunkers and several lakes. Since being purchased in 1982 by the DeGol Family, Scotch Valley has undergone a complete metamorphosis. All playing surfaces have been redone, incorporating bent grasses. Each trap and grass bunker has been relocated or redesigned to provide consistent conditions. Tees and greens have been upgraded and are recognized as some of the fastest, but fairest, greens in the tri-state area. In order to maintain the quality of the playing surface, a 1 million gallon irrigation dam was added to existing water supplies, and all were tied to a state-of-the-art computerized watering system.

Summit Country Club

Welcome to the Summit Country Club, nestled atop beautiful Cresson Mountain in the Laurel Highlands of West Central Pennsylvania. Founded in 1923 as a 9 hole layout, the Summit Country Club would eventually be expanded into an 18 hole championship golf course in the year 1968. Beautifully incorporating holes from the original 9 hole layout into the newly designed “back 9”, Ed Ault and his staff created a truly timeless and classically designed golf course for golfers with all ability levels to enjoy. To this day, the golf course is renowned for its overall excellent condition. Another unmistakable and lasting aspect of the Summit Country Club is the unparalleled character of the greens.

With its extensive use of the natural contours of the surrounding mountain, the Summit Country Club has long been recognized to contain some of the most difficult and challenging, but yet most rewarding golf holes in the entire state of Pennsylvania.
