Reny’s Room
A sensory-friendly room for children with autism, is now open in Altoona as part of the Wright Place for Kids Program. It includes a gym, zip line, tumble mats and a light table and a whiteboard for visual stimulation.
Nehemiah Track Club
NTC is a sanctioned track club with USA Track and Field. Our focus is to develop life skills in youth athletes from ages 7 to 18. Our goal is communicate and coach our passion for the sport of Track and Field to young people who may never have considered it. NTC is a vehicle for young adults to build and develop their athletic abilities in conjunction with their character via the most ancient of sports, Track and Field. We intend to have lots of fun while doing the hard work of improving times and distances.

The ArtsAltoona Center consists of two buildings, an Education Center and a Performance Center. The Education Center houses the Blank Canvas, to be used for art classes, meetings, events, parties, intimate performances, and more! It is also home to a fully equipped licensed commercial kitchen.
In the Performance Center is the Sanctuary, a 450-seat space. In the basement of the Performance Center is the Grotto, a more intimate venue to be used for smaller performances, cocktail hours, and events. Outside on the lawn, the Mural Green will be used for outdoor concerts, festivals, and outdoor events.
The goal of ArtsAltoona is to connect people with the arts.

Opened in June 2000, Galactic Ice brought the Altoona/Blair County area its very first ice rink facility. Featuring an NHL regulation ice sheet, Galactic Ice plays home to the Altoona Area Youth Ice Hockey Association which fields teams under the Altoona Trackers and Mid-State Mustangs for ages 5-18. In addition, three high school hockey programs, Penn State-Altoona hockey and the Sitting Bulls Sled hockey call Galactic Ice home. Other ice sports offered in our facility include Learn To Skate programs, figure skating and curling!!
However, the facility is more than just ice sports as it hosts public skating, birthday parties, private outings, corporate events, and more!! An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objective of exiting the room before running out of time.
